We don’t want to fool mother nature with overly aggressive tillage and chemical fertilizers. We want to work with nature and use no-till, turkey litter, and cover crops to increase organic matter and improve soil health. By increasing TerreMax farm’s organic matter the soil will have greater water holding capacity and the ability to weather droughts better. In addition we will somewhat “artificially” fool weather nature by installing systemic drainage tile in wet soils and irrigation on droughty soils.
